Local Training: 1974 - 1986

I myself never really felt comfortable within the realms of academia. I really didn’t find my feet until I found dance. The biggest thing I loved was performing. My local dance school in Northampton, Mayhew school of Dance, had a fantastic teacher, Lisa Cotterell, who pulled me out and introduced me to Dance festivals. Where amongst the many I came first at the Ruby Ginner Greek Awards, gained the Bursary for most talented dancer at Nottingham Dance Festival and came 3rd at the All England Dance Finals, London. These were all such fantastic performing opportunities and something I hope to be able to give to my students.
